She comes from a typical family and goes to a typical school. However, this year, her family decided that she should travel to California and stay for a couple of months. During her time in the US, she quickly discoveres the differences between Americans and Mauritanians and learns the culture there.
I cannot really relate to this book because we’ve grown up in a community where diversity is all around us. Traveling, moving, exploring This book was about a girl named Fama who lives Mauritiannie. Traveling, moving, exploring often adds onto the knowledge we have about people from a certain country. We have learn the differences between each other because we all have our different backgrounds.
This made it hard for me to really relate to Fama and her situation. I rated this book three stars because even though this book’s plot is quite interesting, this book lacked some details and descriptive words. The author uses some of the same words over and over again, which made my expectation for this book lower.
I did enjoy reading this book though. Jan 25, Olivia Noonan rated it it was amazing. I have a telephone, all you have is a gun! Jan 20, Zoe Thomas added it.

So she went to California and stayed with a family there. This book is really badly written because the plot is really predictable and at times very slow and boring. Also I had a lot of pointless parts that did not fit into the story at all. Feb 03, Emily Gerard rated it it was ok. Sep 28, Hannah FreeInFiction rated it it was ok. What even was this book. In one part Fama literally sees someone robbing this girl that bullies her and she starts yelling.
Then he runs away. Jan 19, Emily Spada rated it did not like it. This is a pretty terrible book. The characters have no clue whats going on throughout the story and the decisions they make make no sense. Vs is as boring as they come, with little no substance to her character what so ever. Debbie and Hairflip girl are the only sliver of joy I got out of this entire book all 48 pages. Theres barely a plot and the logic this story follows is non-existent. Jan 19, Lauren Kinn rated it did not like it.
I do not like this book, because it has a horrible plot and horrible grammar. None of the characters have any idea what they are doing.
Fama has no idea what she is doing what so ever. Blaine Ray needs to be able to write way better if he wants fqma publish more books. Debbie the bully is the only actual character that knows what she is doing. May 16, Kenan Kanic rated it it was amazing. Fama was from an African country. Fama goes to California for her school trip. Imagine if pauvre anne fxma sprayed by a skunk and covered in sandpaper. It would still be a better book. Fama is probably the worst book i’ve ever read. It makes so little sense and has so many plotholes. Even as an educational tool, it is terrible.
Nov 26, Joannw Joanne rated it it was amazing. Jan 25, Mason Kessler rated it did not like it. I hated this book. It was very poorly written and it was annoying. The only good part to it was that it taught me how to speak more French, and how to calicornie some stuff. I’d recommend this book to teachers trying to teach students, but warning: Mar 03, Peter rated it it was ok.
It’s very hard to rate a book of such extreme depth and beauty. This is obviously meant to be loosely representing the story califfornie Jesus. Debbie, Ron, and the others are the apostles.
